03-Henschel Native Garden

This small urban garden has some dynamic specimens. At the same time, some mature plants experienced die-back this year, so sections of the garden got redesigned and now have plants just getting established. What has not changed is the difference in feeling from the public front yard to the private backyard. The front yard is open and airy. All year long, neighbors stop and admire it. The backyard has a quiet wildness that people describe as a sanctuary. Visitors are invited into our coop to be surrounded by dozens of fluttering zebra finches.
