15-Iris & Gus’s Hidden Hillside

Before purchasing this property in 2021, this hillside half-acre was run by a rebel tribe of squirrels, planting loquats and jacaranda trees with what we can only assume was a religious obligation. Since working with Solis Gardens (formerly Urban Farms LA), we have been inspired to reclaim space for the native oak and walnut trees, as well as plant over 75 varieties of native species to thrive in all of the nuanced microclimates of this magical double lot. We have dry hillsides, shady side yards, damp soils, and cobbled creekbeds. Our special garden is home to 8 fruit trees, native + fruiting grapes, passion fruit vines, greywater capture, a fountain and an endless amount to explore and love. We hope you’ll come visit!
