16-The Wonder & Wildness Bungalow Garden

The garden is designed to evoke the sense of wonder I had growing up at the edge of the Angeles National Forest. I wanted it to feel wild like the mountain trails I loved. The garden is built on a hill, framed by three terraces. A flagstone path on the top level weaves through desert globemallow and yarrow, offering a commanding view of the city. The middle terrace is bordered by coyote bush and spreading rush. A swath of Berkeley sedge cascades to the bottom of the hill. The threeterrace structure makes an excellent canvas for a work of living art.
