About the Garden
Our garden is a semi-formal “collector’s garden” planted in 2004. This 100 percent native landscape covers 7,500 square feet. A winding decomposed granite path leads from a gabion wall to a rammed earth bench nestled beneath a mature coast live oak skirted by evergreen currant. Swaths of colorful wildflowers, a Dudleya-studded cliff, and espaliered flannel bush surround an art installation in the garden’s center. A 100-year-old house stands between the native garden and a propagation area.
