21-The Hello Yarrow House

Our yard is an ever-changing work in progress that I happily tend to whenever I have time. What started off as a desolate patch of weeds is now an abundant paradise for birds and bees, butterflies and the occasional possum. All our rainwater is captured and held on site through rain barrels, permeable paving and a rain garden. Three different species of native grapes provide shade, and help cool our house in the summer. Our yard is part laboratory, part apology to nature, and most importantly, part solution to the climate crisis that confronts us every day.
