About the Garden

This garden is a love letter to the ground and wildlife and the original peoples to whom it belongs. It is an ecological restoration effort of the land that, in turn, led to my own restoration in the difficult time of the pandemic through the company of growing and thriving plants, the steadiness of birds and a newfound belonging in a community of friends who find meaning and peace in nature.

Notable Plants

California Buckwheat (Eriogonum fasciculatum)
Coffeeberry (Frangula californica)
Coast Live Oak (Quercus agrifolia)
Winnifred Gillman Cleveland Sage
(Salvia clevelandii ‘Winnifred Gilman’)
St. Catherine’s Lace (Eriogonum giganteum)
