About the Garden

When we moved into our house we were overjoyed but also a little freaked out: what could we do with the adjoining dusty hillside that was now our responsibility? Soon after, our first baby was born, and in those sleep-deprived months we discovered California native plants. We started with sage and buckwheat. Dad and I cleared a path and built steps. Our kids grew big enough to help. An owl moved in. The path reached the top of the once-dusty hillside. We added many more plants. Every garden tells a story, and today we’re delighted to share ours with you!
