About the Garden

With not much beyond time, one-gallon plants, and our own four hands, we converted the exterior of our 1929 Spanish bungalow from weeds, dust, trash, and a few dying citrus trees into a thriving pollinator/bird/human habitat. Our garden found inspiration from the wildness and aliveness of the Los Angeles River, just steps away from our house (be sure to visit that too), with eclectic zones for lounging and play, and creating space for gatherings to flourish naturally, be they outdoor movie nights or hummingbirds sharing flowers.
