About the Garden
Welcome to our eastside oasis! In 2019, we committed to planting only natives to replace the grass, ice plant, and ivy covering the property. Without a garden design, we searched native nurseries and chose whatever looked interesting to us. We now enjoy an eclectic mix of over 100 different native plants. The garden teems with abundant wildlife — a sanctuary for lively creatures and also for ourselves. It is a happy accident — truly The Accidental Birdhouse. Come over to walk through our field of yarrow, smell the fruity hummingbird sage, admire the mass of blooming lilac, and watch butterflies feast from Verbena while bees drink from cascading fountains.
